Aluminium 2011 is a free-machining, heat-treatable alloy with a high copper content. It delivers a clean surface finish, tight tolerances and high productivity, particularly in automatic lathe and high-speed CNC operations. Its corrosion resistance is limited, so suitable surface protection should be considered.
