Aluminium 6063 is a heat-treatable 6XXX series alloy alloyed with magnesium and silicon, developed above all for visible architectural extrusions. Its ability to produce thin-walled, complex sections with crisp corners is matched by a smooth surface, good corrosion resistance and strong anodising or painting performance. It is widely used in window systems, curtain walling, balustrades, furniture profiles, electrical trunking and heat sinks.
